The Department of Pedagogy provides, maintains and renews its material, technical and information base as a condition for productive research and creative achievements of teachers, doctoral students and students. For the education of the students of the specialties of the professional direction 1.2. Pedagogy, with its associated specialties from the Bachelor's College and the Master's College, is a material and technical base that meets the modern requirements of the Ministry of Education and Culture for training in the relevant specialties. The "Angel Kanchev" University of Ruse provides, maintains and renews its material, technical and information base as a condition for productive research and creative achievements of teachers, doctoral students and students.
The students of the majors of the Department of Pedagogy use the base of the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" - Ruse (Rectorate, Building 2, Building 7, Building 12, Building 16), as well as the sports complex (hall and field) of the higher school and the base of a number of educational and social institutions on the territory of the city of Ruse, in which students carry out their pedagogical and socio-pedagogical practice.
A special hall for training in fine art and domestic life and technology is equipped in Building No. 12. The necessary specialized props are also available for training in puppetry and theatre art. In Building 7 (Foreign Languages), students from the "Elementary School Pedagogy and Foreign Language" major study in two rooms with a total of 40 places in English.
The Department of Pedagogy has a committee on quality of education that periodically carries out internal audits, puts important issues to be discussed by departmental councils, the resolution of which depends on the quality of educational work and the increase of its effectiveness. The subject of discussion are problems related to competitiveness, the activity of the department in the implementation of the main tasks of the academic work, the possibilities for the application of an effective system for checking and evaluating the students' knowledge, the state and new trends in the pedagogical practice of the students, the research work of the teachers , the results of the study of the realization of the personnel who graduated from the various specialties for which the department is the main training unit. An analysis and evaluation of open lectures of the teachers, delivered in connection with the main problems on which the department works, and demonstrating new moments in the development of the theory and teaching methodology, is done.
