The teachers from the EPE department develop active research activities. As a result of this activity, a number of developments, inventions, rationalizations related to electrical equipment of technological lines, electrical and lighting systems, electrical safety devices, electrical supply of production sites and enterprises, etc. have been implemented in the industry. The lecturers from the department work on several international projects.

A team from the department headed by Prof. K. Andonov, PhD won a gold medal at the world exhibition of the achievements of young inventors for: "Livestock farm - building with controllable natural ventilation and a set of technological equipment for processing, dosing and distributing food for animals". The lecturers and doctoral students of the EPE department are the authors of more than 50 patents and copyright certificates at home and abroad.

  2. Preparation and conducting of seminars on lighting technology.

Students and PhD students from the department have been on creative business trips to the Institute for Agricultural Technology (Institut fur Landtechnik) at the Deutscher Academischer Austausch Dienst (German Academic Exchange Service); Harper Adams University College, Newport, Shroghike, UK; Agricultural University of Athens.
