The department conducts mandatory classes in the discipline "Physical Education and Sports" for students of all majors. Students are taught by highly qualified teachers according to the curricula adopted by the Academic Council. They meet the state requirements. Classes are held in educational and sports halls in groups in accordance with the type of sport chosen by the student Students are enrolled in their chosen sport at the beginning of each semester.

Sports and competitive activity:
Conducting a training process with the representative teams of the Univeristy of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" in the relevant sports and participation in student universiades of national and world level. Organizing and conducting intra-university tournaments in various types of sports.
