Hyperbaric oxygenation

On April 22th , 2024, a seminar was held on the topic: Hyperbaric oxygenation - indications.

The speaker of the seminar was Prof. Hristo Bozov, PhD, Professor Bozov, PhD is a specialist with many years of experience in the field of hyperbaric oxygenation. He has two medical specialties - in Anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care, and a specialty in Disaster Medicine. The seminar was attended by over 120 students from Nursing and Midwifery specialties, as well as teachers from the Department of Health Care.

Prof. Bozov, PhD presented hyperbaric oxygenation in historical terms, indications and contraindications for application. After the presentation, he answered the additional questions asked by the students.

On March 28^th , 2024, an Open Day was held at the Kanev Centre of the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev".

During the event, faculties and affiliates set up their representative stands, and classrooms and laboratories opened their doors to prospective students, parents and teachers. Department of "Health Care" at the Health and Welfare Ministry, was represented by 10 female students, Nursing specialty, 10 female students from the Midwifery specialty and teachers: head assistant. Kina Velcheva, assistant Yuliana Kancheva, assistant Stella Boneva, assistant Julia Slavova, assistant. Miroslava Ilieva, assistant Daniela Lyutakova, assistant Veselka Mihailova.

Rare Disease Day

On 29th, February, 2024 from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. in the first and second buildings of the university, students from the "Healthcare" department distributed information brochures and released 100 balloons in front of the Rectorate, thus celebrating the Rare Disease Day. The National Alliance of People with Rare Diseases (NAPRD), the Health Club of Since 2015, the University of Ruse and the Municipality of Ruse annually organize information campaigns, seminars and training meetings. The main goal of these activities is to raise public awareness of the needs of these people.

The university of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" deservedly took the top places in the ranking of European universities educating students in the field of Health care. In the conditions of strong competition between higher education institutions from the European Union, the University is rated as the best place for education, satisfaction of students and opportunities for international mobility, according to the recently published data of the European rating system U-MULTIRANK.

U-MULTIRANK makes an annual ranking of universities, and the University of Ruse has participated in it since its first edition in 2014. Every year, the University submits data to different professional fields for participation in the European rating, depending on the fields determined by its organizers.

In the 2021 edition, a total of 1,101 universities from Europe were evaluated in various professional fields, of which 727 were from the European Union, including 12 from Bulgaria. The "Healthcare" department of Ruse University "Angel Kanchev" is in second place in terms of overall performance among 44 universities from the European Union that conduct training in it, and ranks first in overall evaluation of the training (obtained as a result of 7 different the indicator) from the student surveys.

U-Multirank compares university profiles along 5 dimensions: teaching and learning, science, knowledge transfer, international orientation and influence in the region, with performance assessed at two levels: for the institution as a whole and for the professional field.

The prestigious place of the University of Ruse in the ranking of similar programs in the field of "Health care" is due to 6 highest grades (A) according to the following indicators: academic staff with a doctorate degree, educational experience, quality of education, organization of the educational process, student internships in the region and opportunities to study abroad.

Despite the fact that the professional direction is among the "youngest" at the University of Ruse, with a large palette of educational practices and extracurricular activities in partnership with various professional institutions, the specialties included in them managed to win their positive image, also proven by the data in the authoritative rating system.
