The activity of the Career Development Centre (CDC) is an invariable part of the modern education. The main task of CDC is to overcome the barriers in communication between business, academia and students.
- The main goals of the work of CDC are:
- Ensuring a contact between the students and companies with the aim of professional realization of specialists who graduated from the University of Ruse;
- Adaption the learning process to the needs and requirements of the modern business;
- Provision of a high-quality services to companies with the aim of providing opportunities for a career guidance for the University of Ruse graduates;
- Obtaining an information about the realization of the graduates at the University of Ruse;
- Assisting permanently specialists who graduated from the University of Ruse in their professional development;
- To promote the University of Ruse.
Main events
The following main directions were worked on for the realization of the main objectives of the activity of the Central Committee during the past period:
- To establish a contact with companies, users of specialists who graduated from the University of Ruse;
- Conclusion of cooperation contracts between the companies and the University of Ruse;
- Holding meetings and organizing company presentations;
- Acquainting students with the activities of companies through presentations broadcast by the information system of the CDC;
- Expansion of the CDC database;
-Organization of internships for students ;
- Referring students to companies in order to take up work positions;
- Introduction of new technologies in the educational process, through the mediation of leading companies in the production;
- Realizing the possibilities for establishing the Association for Career Guidance and development in higher education in Bulgaria;
- Self-development of a software product "Automated system for processing the database of the Centre for Research and Development and evaluation of the career realization of the graduated specialists".
Advantages of the system:
- Quick and easy contact between CDC and groups of students, with the aim of quickly informing about events, availability of work positions, internships, internship programs, opportunities to take up work positions after completing education, etc.;
- Quality assurance of the accreditation procedures with information about the graduated students, by automatically displaying information about their realization;
- Quality information provision for the indicators of the rating system to achieve the maximum marks;
- Easy and fast contact between the Central Research Centre ( University of Ruse) and students or graduates;
- Establishing an easy and quick connection between the companies and a group of students (majors, year of graduation, qualifications);
-Connection with the program "student".
2.1. Held of the traditional forum "National Career Days"
A press conference and Forum "National Career Days" are traditionally held in order to establish a closer contact between students and companies. Co-organizers of the event are JobTiger and the Central Research Centre at the University of Ruse. The forum is visited by more than 20 leading companies of a national scale and many companies from the region every year. The forum is of an interest to more than 1000 students.
2.2. ESTABLISHING CONTACT WITH COMPANIES USING SPECIALISTS WHO GRADUATED FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF RUSE
A number of meetings are held between representatives of the Central Committee and companies of a national scale and in the territory of the Ruse region in order to establish a contact with the companies that are potential users of specialists who graduated from the University of Ruse.
WORK WITH THE STUDENTS, TRAINING, PRESENTATIONS OF COMPANIES, INTERNSHIPS
The main point of the activity of the Central Committee is establishing a close contact between the Central Committee and the students. For this purpose, meetings are periodically held between representatives of the Central Committee and the student council. The problems and the planned measures for closer cooperation are discussed. As a result of the close cooperation between the centre and the student council, the mass of the events organized by the Central Committee was ensured. The institute's information system is used to inform students.
A seminar-external training is traditionally held with students from the Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation faculty, majoring in "Electronics", "Computer Systems and Technologies", "Communication Techniques and Technologies" and "AUIT" on the territory of the company SET - Ruse.
Job interviews are organized between the representatives of companies and students of the University of Ruse with the assistance of the Central Committee of the Russian Federation.
An important aspect of the activity of the Central Committee is the organization of mediation of leading companies in the production for the introduction of new technologies in the educational process. In this direction, TSK works actively with the companies SET-Ruse, ASIC DEPOT - Sofia - Plovdiv, Johnson Controls - Sofia.
