The management of BRIE, which has been defined by the Statute of the structure as part of the Roumanian-Bulgarian Agreement, includes:
- Transnational Board of Trusties of BRIE (Beirat), chaired by Prof. Rita Suessmuth, Chairperson of the German Bundestag from 1988 to 1998. It is represented by key partners of BRIE – Governors, Mayors, MPs, etc. The General Meetings of the Board, where strategic decisions about BRIE's development are made are held once a year in Bucharest or in Ruse.
- Transnational Board of Directors of BRIE in which the Rectors of the University of Ruse and the Economic Academy of Bucharest, as well as a representative of the German Rectors' Conference and the Directors of the two BRIE Centres are members, makes decisions on the principle of rotation, with the respective Rector hosting the annual meeting.
- Transnational BRIE Committee, which is an operative management team, managed by BRIE's Directors and including vice directors, as well as coordinators of different aspects of BRIE's activities.
